The Hobbs Quality Grant Program

Since its inception in 1984 Hobbs Medical has focused on the pursuit of Quality.

Management and staff are encouraged to continually improve the level of quality in our products, manufacturing processes and our business systems. We also encourage professionals in our industry to do the same. To demonstrate our commitment to improving quality, Hobbs Medical has established the Hobbs Quality Grant Program.

Through the Program, cash grants are awarded to any individual in the profession - nurses, technicians, physicians, environmental services staff et al. - who is dedicated to continuous quality improvement and is willing to invest time and energy in that pursuit. Hobbs will reimburse grant winners up to $1,000 for costs associated with any activity that demonstrates improvement in the quality of that individual's skills in the delivery of endoscopy services.

Grants will be awarded in advance of the activity and funds will be disbursed upon successful completion of that activity and submission of associated receipts. Awarded grants may be used to fund all or a portion of associated activity costs.

Hobbs Quality Grant Program applications will be judged by:

  • Edward Page, Executive Director of Engineering and Operations
  • Ed Bednarz, Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
  • Suzanne Handren, Endoscopy Unit Nurse Manager, ret.

Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis for activity that will occur during the next 12 months. Decisions of the Hobbs judges will be final.
