Protected Specimen Brush - Microbiology Brushes

Hobbs Medical's Microbiology Brush (PSB) features a spring action handle and a permanent, plastic tip which provides a protective seal on the distal end. The addition of the latch hook allows the device to be held in the open position for ease of handling during specimen processing.

The protected specimen brush is designed with a retractable sheath which covers the brush when it's in the closed position and a plug on the distal end, which together provides a protective seal on the distal end. The design reduces the risk of brush contamination during the advancement and withdrawal of the device through the endoscope channel when a protected specimen brush is required for a potential pathogenic microorganism diagnosis.
